Chelsea is creating her niche in being the social voice for rural New Zealand. After completing Innovate 2015 alongside her Kellogg Rural Leadership programme, she launched Grass Roots Media NZ, a rural social media and marketing business based in the Manawatu.
Chelsea has a real drive for seeing entrepreneurs grow and helping them demystify all things marketing and small business. She believes the region is New Zealand's Agri Hub and is determined to see it morph into this role. Chelsea now spends her day being the voice of many rural companies and is a governance role for a non-profit organisation.
Lyn has worked in businesses ranging from small to medium enterprises to corporate multi-national companies and has a genuine understanding and empathy for what it takes to run a successful business.
Since moving to New Zealand in 1995, Lyn has been co-owner of start-up enterprises, worked in economic development, tertiary education and private consulting. She holds tertiary qualifications in science and education and in 2016 completed her Master of Business Studies-Resource Management at Massey University, researching strategic human resource management (SHRM) decisions in Maori Enterprise. In 2017 Lyn commenced her PhD, continuing her studies in SHRM and indigenous enterprise and organizational models. Lyn runs her own consulting and research business.

David has extensive corporate and governance experience, international business consulting, as well as commercial management experience gained in organisations including Air New Zealand and The Warehouse Group.
Murray was Chief Executive of MidCentral DHB from 1999 to 2015. He has gained considerable management and leadership experience across a wide range of industries in both the public and private sectors, including primary production, tourism, pharmaceuticals and social services. Murray has had, and maintains, governance roles in health-related organisations as well as community and privately owned entities. Murray is currently a MIG member and is a board member for BCC.

I’m passionate about morning radio and have been since I was 8, which is why I have been doing the same show on the same station for just over 28 years. I’m also passionate about promotions, marketing, social media and technology. It’s great to also be a part of the BCC family.
A lover of music and all things artsy and aesthetically pleasing, Neriah found herself on the shores of the east coast of the South Island 7 years ago from Zimbabwe, a landlocked country at the bottom of Africa! She has subsequently fallen head over heels with NZ people and culture so much that she has travelled the length and breadth of the country and is still going.
She has a background in radio, IT and most recently is an alumni of Sprout. Currently immersed in her tech start-up, Tribal, Neriah knows first hand the struggle in creating new companies for New Zealand. She holds qualifications in IT, Occupational Health and Safety and project management.
Wayne has been Managing Director for ComputerCare NZ for the past 15 years, an award winning IT support company operating across 3 branches in the Central North Island. He is also a director of Constant Vigil, an electronics start-up and Stopbank Software, a software development company.
Simon is the founder of OBO. Innovation at product and process level, with lashings of good marketing has enabled OBO to lead the world in field hockey goal keeping equipment. 70% of the keepers at the Rio Olympics used OBO.
He has a passion to see innovative local companies thrive, particularly in the international market place and believes Palmy is the perfect home for clever, curious, and globally successful businesses.
Peter is the Innovation Specialist at CEDA (Central Economic Development Agency), delivering the Callaghan Innovation programme for the entire Horizons Region. With a background in scientific research, and over 25 years experience in the sales & marketing of cutting edge scientific equipment, Peter is now delivering the Callaghan Innovation Grant Programme to the Horizons region. This includes working with start-ups, back shed inventors and established high tech companies.
Peter loves living in Manawatu because of the diversity of people and landscapes located within such a small area.
Rachel started at UCOL as a junior lecturer in Design and Multimedia in 2001, she is now the Head of School for Creative Industries and oversees all the creative programmes at UCOL. Rachel has experience in Marketing having taken a 1 year secondment into a creative director position at UCOL, and is an experience Graphic Designer specializing in advertising and branding. She has years of leadership experience and in 2015 won the UCOL Leadership Award and particularly enjoys change management and strategy.

His role is that of Business Coach to a range of clients, assisting them to run successful businesses.

Andy has been Chief Executive at Te Manawa for over 3 years but has worked in the New Zealand museum sector for 22 years mostly in exhibition development and construction. He worked at Te Papa Tongarewa, the national Museum of NZ for 14 years before and after the new Te Papa opened on Feb 14th 1998. He holds an Arts degree and is an artist and social activist but also has qualifications in automotive engineering and Te Reo Maori, the national indigenous language of New Zealand. He is interested in the way museums can and have the potential to change the world through social inclusion and experimentation. Andy has been bringing to life the concept of ‘museum without walls’ at Te Manawa since 2012.

Shareena holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing from Massey University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, and an Executive MBA from Waikato University. In addition, Lyndon heads up a disaster response and relief charity and has been working in the industry over 10 years, helpingNGO ( Non-Government Organisation) and their response experience to 15 international disaster events and locations.
Christian commenced at Massey University in June 2017 as Deans' Chair in Strategy at the School of Management. Previously, Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Development Centre (GEDC) at Kingston University London, UK. He was for eight years Professor, PhD director and founding director of the Research Center for International Competitiveness at Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (UAI) Chile, where he secured $1M in grants and research funding. Before UAI he was director of the Graduate School of Business at Universidad Austral in Chile, researcher at Strathclyde Business School UK and founder director of two consultancy firms in industry clusters and small firms development in Latin America. His research on small firms, entrepreneurship and industry clusters has been multi-disciplinary in collaboration with scholars from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe and Latin America. He has done expert work on SMEs internationalisation for the European Parliament in Brussels, The Centre for Strategy & Evaluation Services in London and has advised small firms organisations, universities and governments in Latin America and Europe.
